Best Chinese take-out food around. All of the other local Chinese buffets and Chinese take-out restaurants have sub par food compared to China Olive. I enjoy all of their chicken and beef options that I've tried so far. Their egg rolls are good. Not freshly made. The crab rangoon is very good and fresh. It's not like a crab Rangoon that I've had before because it has a sweet flavor but still very good. I recommend doing their lunch specials. Great prices. Great food. Convenient. What more could you want? The guy at the counter isn't very enthusiastic but don't let that stop you from placing an order. They make him work all day everyday. You'd be tired of that place too.

I ordered the lunch special and their General's Chicken was OK but their Egg Drop Soup was disgusting! Sorry but I won't be a returning customer.

Food tastes OK. Would have given them three stars but they use too much oil. Oil floats on top of the sauce. The hunt for good takeout continues.

First Chinese place I've found that was actually good! Been here over a year, but everywhere else uses fake foods, basically. Defiantly my new go-to Chinese place.

This is your run of the mill fast food Chinese. Nothing special, but also nothing terribly bad. It's close to my house so I end up ordering from here pretty often. They always have my order ready by the time they said, and they've never messed it up. The staff are friendly and the place is clean.

Not a whole lot different here than any other other fast food Chinese joint in town. It seems my bill was usually a little higher for similar orders than the place right down the street. I don't know if there is a language barrier, but the last order I picked up -- I ordered one of the dishes NON-spicy for the little one. Once we got home, her food was spicy enough to make an adult cry. I could have brought it back up, had them recook it, and brought it back home. But by that time, though, my food would have been cold and my friend would have been done. I shared mine with her...the portions are very adequate.

I love this place. I eat here about once a week. I've moved around a lot and everywhere I move I always look for a go-to Chinese food place. This is my place for here. The food is awesome. The ingredients taste fresh and the meat isn't full of gristle and fat like a lot of Chinese places around here. They have good homemade hot mustard. The service is great and they always have my order done on time. The people are friendly. I highly recommend it!

Never eating again! Been here twice, 2 different meals, both times = stomach pains from Hell.

Honestly, this is just a place with your "run of the mill" Americanized Chinese food. The two things that keep my husband and I as regular customers are the hot and sour soup, and the crab rangoon. We both agree their crab rangoon is the best we've had a take-out place ever. I agree that it is also very clean, and the staff is always friendly. If you're looking for cheap, good Chinese takeout... I'd recommend it.

The one really great thing I have to say about this place is that it is CLEAN. All stainless steel kitchen. A lot of my family eats here when we want Chinese take-out. I have to say that I do not care for the fried rice here. It just has less flavor than I like in my fried rice. I always stick to the white rice, instead. MSG-free means less trips to the restroom for me. Great Sesame Chicken, General Tso's, Lemon Chicken, etc. My family enjoys the Kung Pao Chicken. My daughter LOVES the S&S Chicken (tempura-style). The best way to rate Kung Pao is how much celery they use as filler. The celery content is low compared to other Kung Pao, so that rates high in my books. Everything is prepared to order which is also worth an extra star. Not my favorite Chinese eatery, but definately worthy of a fair review. The spicy pork is awesome, just way to greasy for my taste, but other than that the other dishes are nice and fresh and it hasn't been sitting under a heat lamp, which makes it much less gloppy than most Chinese buffets (think corn starch). And they don't skimp on adding condiments to the bag: Duck sauce, soy, horseradish mustard, and even hot pepper oil if you ask for it.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
